The Christian Mission PENTEKOSTE was formed to preach the Gospel of God‟s salvation in the power of the Holy Spirit. As a unit closely associated with Warsaw Theological Seminary, PENTEKOSTE (ChMP) aims to harness students‟ and graduates‟ skills and involving them in various ministries. “After this the Lord appointed seventy others and sent them on ahead of him in pairs to every town and place where he himself intended to go. He said to them, „The harvest is plentiful, but the labourers are few; therefore ask the Lord of the harvest to send out labourers into his harvest”, Luke 10,1-2. The harvest belongs to the Lord. It does not belong to any organization, any denomination or any man. God is the only Lord of the harvest and it is his alone. No one can claim it for oneself or hail it his or her achievement. If any part of the harvest belongs to man, it does not belongs to God anymore. This is why one of the goals of ChMP is to support evangelistic and missionary work. The mission of ChM Pentekoste is to help believers discovery their calling, prepare and equip for ministry, and to send and support those called as missionaries. In our understanding, there are three groups who are sent: - Those sent to go (physically) in person - Those sent in the form of prayer ministry - Those sent with the ministry of giving Each person being sent must be characterized by radical discipleship, regardless of his or her particular ministry. “Then he said to them all, „If any want to become my followers, let them deny themselves and take up their cross daily and follow me”, Luke 9,23; “So therefore, none of you can become my disciple if you do not give up all your possessions”, Luke 14,33. Both the one who goes to preach the Gospel and the one who intercedes in prayer or supports financially must be a person “dead to himself and the world”. For ministry to be spiritual and not carnal, we must live solely for God, and aim for results which are eternal. Having adequate support, we have no limitations as to the number of missionaries that we may send onto a mission field. I powiedział im: Żniwo wprawdzie wielkie, ale robotników mało. Proście więc Pana żniwa, aby wysłał robotników na żniwo swoje” (Łk 10,1-2). Wszelkie żniwo należy do Pana. Nie należy do żadnej organizacji, denominacji, człowieka itp. Bóg jest Panem żniwa i należy ono tylko do Niego. Nikt nie może o nie zabiegać dla siebie, lub twierdzić, że żniwo jest jego własnością. Jeśli bowiem jakaś część żniwa należy do człowieka, to nie należy do Boga. Dlatego jednym z celów ChMP jest wspieranie działań ewangelizacyjno-misyjnych. Zadaniem ChM Pentekoste jest: odkrywać powołanie do służby, przygotowywać do służby, wyposażać do służby, wysyłać do służby, wspierać w służbie. W rozumieniu ChMP wysłani to: - ci, którzy są wysłani fizycznie, - ci, którzy są wysłani, poprzez ich służbę modlitewną, - ci, którzy są wysłani, poprzez ich służbę dawania. Radykalne uczniostwo musi charakteryzować każdą z wysłanych osób, niezależnie od rodzaju służby. „I powiedział do wszystkich: Jeśli kto chce pójść za mną, niechaj się zaprze samego siebie i bierze krzyż swój na siebie codziennie, i naśladuje mnie” (Łk 9,23). „Tak więc każdy z was, który się nie wyrzeknie wszystkiego, co ma, nie może być uczniem moim” (Łk 14,33). Zarówno pracownik, który idzie głosić Ewangelię, jak i ten, który służy w modlitwie lub wspiera materialnie, musi być człowiekiem „ukrzyżowanym dla samego siebie i świata”. Musi żyć wyłącznie dla Boga, bo tylko wówczas jego służba będzie duchowa, nie cielesna, a jej wymiar wieczny. Posiadając odpowiednie wsparcie, tak naprawdę nie ma żadnego limitu, co do ilości misjonarzy, których możemy wysłać na misję.
